Visit the Luberon with a professional guide
LUBERON
A Natural Park
& Its fascinating Villages
Take a private tour to discover the easten part of our region
Luberon
We can easily fall in love with this part of the Provence. And some have even come there to settle down for life...
The Luberon is a Regional Natural Park which spreads from Cavaillon to Manosque and is characterised by a mountain which hold the same name. According to the season, the landscape varies and changes colours with the different bloomings such as the red poppy fields, the purple lavendine and the beautiful sunflower fields.
Consequently, this area has always been a main source of inspiration for artists like Peter Mayle who wrote many books like "A Year in Provence" after settling down for a while in the village of Menerbes. The famous movie "A Good Year" by Ridley Scott with Russel Crowe was mainly produced in the region and particularly in the hilltop village of Gordes.
During your guided tour of the Luberon, I will drive you alongside the Calavon Valley from where you will enjoy the sceneries. We will visit some of the most beautiful and charming perched villages such as Gordes, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Roussillon, etc...
Each village has its weekly market which can be taken in consideration depending the day of your excursion.
During the tour of the Luberon, I can also suggest you to visit The Fountain of Vaucluse which is an outstanding natural site, characterised for being a mysterious resurgence. After many investigations, we do not know the origin of the spring. We will also go for a walk along the canals to the emerald color of the river. The second option is to discover the famous Abbey of Senanque, dating back to the XII century under the Cistercian Order. The monument is built at the bottom of a valley whose beauty is enhanced by the blooming of the lavendine from mid of June to July. A perfect place for a spiritual retreat.
Depending on the weather conditions we can manage a picnic in a cute spot or I can suggest you a restaurant in one of those villages with a panoramic view.
I remain at your entire disposal for further information.
